From USA Weightlifting: "A long-time member of USA Weightlifting and active in the North Carolina LWC, Leo served on the Board of Directors from 2009 through 2010, was an IWF Category I Referee, served on USAW's Technical Committee, and officiated regularly at our national events. We appreciate Leo's many years of service and he will be missed by his many friends in weightlifting."
Leo has helped many of the clubs here in North Carolina by certifying referees, officiating meets, and just being as helpful as he could to all of us new to this sport. He will be missed.
A sad day.
ReplyDeletePete, Josh and Joe and the the rest of Bearcat Power are greatly saddened by this news. Leo was a stand up, strait shooting man. He helped us get our program off the ground and ref'd at all our lifts. He was what this sport is truly about. Leo my friend rest in peace!
